LSCA
OFFICERS: Please review prior to next meeting
The following are the changes that Brian and I
have worked out over the last five or six months. [Sera Russell]
Article IV Section B:
“Any member of NSCA in good standing with permanent
Louisiana residency shall be a member of LSCA. January 1st (or
the date established by NSCA) will be recognized as the beginning of the
new shooting year.”
Article VIII Section D:
“Voting for all officers and delegates will occur at
the state shoot. Nominations for officers and delegates must be submitted
to the Board 60 days prior to the Monday of the week of the state shoot.
The Board will issue a Notice of the nominees to all shooters at least 14
days prior to the beginning of the state shoot. Election of officers and
delegates will be held every 2 years in the odd numbered year. When
voting for a “zone” delegate, a shooter must reside in the same zone at
the time of the state shoot.”
Article IX Section A (1):
To say “60 days” (rather than 6 weeks).
Section 1(b):
“The Board will verify the proposals submitted by the
clubs seeking to host the state shoot. The Board will notify the shooters
at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the state shoot for that year
of the clubs who have had verified proposals for hosting the state shoot
for the next year. Voting for the next year’s state shoot will take place
at the state shoot.
In order to insure quality, a club may not host her
state shoot more than once every 2 years.”
IX C(1):
“every 2 years” (rather than 3 years).
IX C(2):
“The preliminary” (rather than the 50 target).
ADD:
“To insure that a state shoot takes place each year,
an alternate club and an alternate date will be selected. This is to
insure that the state shoot goes on in case weather or other reasons
should cause unforeseen delay. The Board will meet in emergency session –
by phone, if necessary – to resolve unforeseen scheduling problems.”
Definition of Zones 1, 2 and 3:
“All parishes north of Alexandria, including Rapides,
will comprise Zone 1. All parishes south of Rapides Parish and west of
the Mississippi River will comprise Zone 2. All parishes east of the
Mississippi River will comprise Zone 3.” |
